Sports Grant

Millbrook currently receives the national sports grant which is used in accordance with the guidelines for this specific grant.

Funding Objectives

Objectives of spending the PE grant:

Increase pupil participation in competitions, interschool sport and events.
Instil in pupils a love of sport and physical activity.
Improve resources to support PE, including transport and equipment.
Broaden the sporting opportunity available to pupils.
Train PE instructors and coaches to develop sporting skill in pupils.

How the school will sustain the improvements:

The school has developed a Sports Leader as part of the Middle Leadership Team who will be leading and driving the direction of sport and management of the Sports Grant.

It will continue its commitment to a 1km run, access to a Sports Leader and ensure that all resources reflect the sporting needs of our pupils.

In April 2018 the school secured a £130,000 grant from the FA to enhance the school’s 3G sporting options. Annual maintenance ensures that the facilities developed remain high quality for all users.
